About Us
Our Beautiful Masjid situated in Burlington
The Halton Islamic Association (HIA) was established as a charitable organization in the late 80’s with the goal of building a Masjid (a place of worship and religious education) for the Muslim community in the city of Burlington. Through the hard work and dedication of the community the Masjid was built in the early 90’s and has since served as a beacon of light offering a variety of religious and educational services.
Our Mission
- To provide a platform for the comprehensive development of the Muslim community in accordance to the Islamic values and principle enshrined in the Quran and the Sunnah (The Teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
- To invest in our future generations by instilling in them the correct Islamic values and principles through education and development.
- To convey the message of Islam to the wider community and invite all of humanity to worship Allah (God) and adhere to the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah through open dialog and discussion.
- To provide help and support to those that are in need in the wider community.
- To offer relevant services to the Muslim community that include Counseling, Marriage services, Funeral services, Financial assistance, Social activities, Youth education and development, Senior support programs.
As our community continues to grow, we are actively working on establishing a new Islamic Center in the North suburb of the City of Burlington.
